front end noise on rh turn at speed 850

I'm stumped in trying to determine what is causing a front end whining noise after making a RH sweeping turn at a quick pace. (For example, taking a 30mph turn at 45-50mph) If I turn gently without putting too much load on the front end, there is no noise. It sounds like a belt whining on a pulley, but I've pulled the auto trans into neutral with no change in noise. It goes away as I come to a stop. Pressing the brakes while the noise is there has no effect either.
I've not heard it on hard LH turns.
