heater core 850 1997

All you really need is a couple torx screw drivers and some patience.

Remove the drivers and passenger side kick panels. 6 screws.

loosen the carpet on both sides of the center consol and remove the two screws holding the black plastic guards in place.

loosen the one screw holding the heater core pipe to the core from the firewall. the screw faces you and is right in between the pipes.

take out the 4 screws that hold the heater core in the air duct system. Pull the unit all the way down to the floor and remove from the car without wrecking the pipes or firewall connector. They say the passenger side is easier.

I had the unit out in like 30 minutes, but wrecked the firewall connector.
