Front Suspension Question S60 2003

I have a 2003 S60 2.4T with 103,000 miles. I need to replace some of the front end bushings and tie rod ends, etc. While I have it apart I am considering replacing the front shock/struts. When I look at the FCP catalog I see that they have some strut replacement kits that have a billion additional strut parts to be replaced at the same time. Does anybody have any opinion as to whether these need to be replaced when replacing the struts? My sense is (and also being a cheap/frugal guy) that they don't need to be replaced at 100K miles.

Thanks
