Winter tires S80

Hi Guys,

I've been running the Blizzak 215/55 16 in the winter for years (second set is wearing out) but besides being rather squishy, I did not find them leaving me feel all too secure last winter. I'm in north west NJ and drive about 80 miles a day. Last winter had a lot of snow, and the snow removal was not as good as one might hope.

The price difference (Tire Rack) between the above described ($128/ea) and the 205/60 16 General Altimax Arctic with studs ($98/ea) is a fair amount. Shipping and local mount, balance, and disposal will be about $42/per wheel.

I've been running 235/45zr17 General UHP summer tires and have been happy with those.

Thanks for your thoughts. I'm glad to hear the 205/60 change doesn't raise large concerns.

R Stuart
