'95 850 - P0500, Dead Instrument Cluster Needles, Flashing Arrow

I have a '95 850 Turbo that runs and shifts fine, but has the following symptoms:
All LEDs except for the clock in the instrument cluster blink intermittently with dashes i.e. no data
All needles in the cluster are dead with an occasional jitter
Flashing shift arrow and transmission mode light by the shifter
P0500 code
May be a red herring, but the radio has been intermittent over the past few months
No ABS light

Reviewing several forums, it seems that PNP, instrument cluster circuit board and transmission speed sensor could all be suspect. Any thoughts on best place to start?

PS - I have a '95, '96 and '97 850 and appreciate everyone's help keeping them running!
