Prodrive to build new Volvo

---------------------------

Volvo are to team up with former Ford BTCC team Prodrive to prepare a

new car for the 2002 European series. Although the format of next

year's series has yet to be decided it's believed that it could adopt

the current BTCC regulations, leading to a possibility that the car

may race in the UK by the end of the year. Prodrive could not confirm

which model will be used as a basis for the race programme but it's

widely believed it will involve Volvo soon to be released S60.
