My PCV and My New 850 850 1997

OK, getting to know this car, getting ready to order timing belt goodies, discussed in a previous post. But, I now realize the PCV system seems hopelessly clogged. lots of smoke thru dipstick. Apparent leakage at rear seal, very minor at front end. Don't want to take manifold off, but there isn't any other way.

If I change out the PCV separater and hoses (not really inexpensive), this should greatly reduce pressure on seals and therefore reduce seal seepage. By the way, who designed this nightmare, but no matter, is my thinking correct here, as replacing the rear seal won't happen for a while.

Mike
