Most probably dirt/grit has dropped down from the parcel shelf and found its way between the speaker magnet and the voice coil. I had a similar problem some years ago and cleaned out the dirt by a careful removal and replace operation. Let me know if you want the fix sent by email - I think I still have the details on file somewhere. Cheers, phil.
