Arby,

The computer option is enabled by a software switch. To activate it the dealer will interface with a computer (at the factory ?) that will download the code to your vehicle. You will also need to buy the electro/mechanical rotary switch to accesses the various functions.

If memory serves me correctly, the switch costs @$35.00 and the download @ 300.00. BTW the wiring connection is behind the blank plate on the dash and you can EASILY connect the switch yourself.
