Some swapped parts need to be handshaked by a VADIS computer ... S60

I doubt that a swap of security modules would allow you to start the car, the real security module is in the right front fender well, forward of the inner fender liner.

You could jump the starter to see if the engine turns over, but that is all.

If you you pull out the electrical portion of the ignition switch and move the switch to the ON position, you will turn on the SRS light due to the missing air bags, and then only the dealer can activate the SRS system - for a small fee.

I suggest you find air bag replacements, install them. Fix anything else you find. Then call the dealer and tell them of your situation. They can get a key made and program it for your VIN, for a substantial fee. Also ask about getting 2 remotes while you are at it - also not cheap.

If there is a way to find the prior owner, he may have an extra key and remote still laying around...
