2003 v 70 V70-XC70 2003

The V70 is FWD and the XC is AWD with a light pressure turbo. Both engines are good, but the AWD will require more drivetrain maint.

The 5 speed auto is better than earlier years, but the tranny still needs to be flushed. Remember, car manufacturers definition of lifetime is the end of warranty or 100K miles, which ever comes first.

The idle control valve is a thing if the past, computers take over. The instrument panel is now run by the DIM, a problematic computer which the dealer loves ($$$$) to replace but can be repaired by Xemodex.com

Again, maint history is paramount. Has the timing belt/tensioner been replaced? Lots of folks trade in their cars when that expense comes up.

Your 122 has 4 fuses, the V70 has 4 fuse boxes!
