Sudden increase of oil consuption S60 2001

Long time not at the forum, but here I am again. Still driving my nice S60 2.4 (non-turbo) 2001! (I still have to get used to the new model S60, we will see in about five years or so..)

Last year I noticed a sudden increase of oil consumption from an average of 1L on 10k kms to about 1L on 4000 kms and increasing to 1L 2500 kms.

There was a leak at the front crankshaft O-ring (the right side of the car). That was all fixed by the daler including the camshaft O-rings and everything is dry and fine now, except..the oil consumption is still about 1L/3000 kms (about 1/4 gl on 1875 mls)instead of my usual avarage of about 1L/10k kms (about 1/4 gl on 6250 mls.

Anyone an idea what could be the cause of this sudden increase of oil consumption?

Thanks!

Dutchman
