Can you substitute 3309 for Mobil 1 transmission fluid? S70 1998

My S70 is due soon for a major tune up. I have used the Toyota IV fluid in my '04 V 70 AWD and wonder if this fluid is ok for the older transmissions such as my '98 has. Reason I ask is the Toyota fluid is less expensive than the Mobil 1.
