first time volvo owner review S40-V40 01

Hi, bought a 01 S40 base, with 7K miles- it was a dealer loaner, so far it's been great, I've have had it for 1 month now. It replaced a 97 Audi A-4 1.8T Auto with Quattro. Pros: More power, better ride, quieter and has much better AT, S40 seems more luxuory vs Audi/sporty. The fan is quiet, seats more comfortable, better reception/radio. Cons: brakes not as good-there's a grinding-when stopping, pulls to the right a little, one time the driver door popped opend while going over some RR tracks-no the door wasn't ajar and it hasn't happened again. I miss the Quattro but put Spike Spiders on, next year snow's all around. So far so good I really, really like it --hope it's a keeper. Maybe I'll put in a chip. thanks Jim
