Re: Report on Suspension Changes 850 97

The strut brace was installed at the same time as the ipd Sport Exhaust and before the rest of the suspension changes. There was a minor improvement under hard corning on the track. Nothing noticable on the street but I seldom push it hard there. On the street I was running the Borbet Type S wheels and Michelin Pilot SX 205/50/16 tires. At the track I used the same type wheels with Hoosier R3S03 Competition tires in the 205/45/16 size.

The sway bars make by far the biggest difference in body roll with the strut brace acting only to stiffen the front end of the car and resist the additional loads generated by stickier tires and a stiffer suspension.
