How often do you check your oil level S60 2007

Most modern engines will easily pass 7500 miles between oil changes, but your last question is the correct one.

People no longer check the oil level when getting a new tank of fuel. Running 7500 miles between changes and not checking the oil level is asking for trouble. A car can keep the bearings and rings lubed with dirty oil, but when the oil is down 2 quarts, the crank has less to splash and hot spots will happen.

What we need is an oil level sensor attached to another dash idiot light, so it lights when the oil gets a quart low. The pressure sensor currently in place is a death light, by the time it comes on the damage is already done.
