Vibration under load S80

Volvo doesn't use those matchsticks that Honda uses, these are robust axles. The only time they get replaced are when the boot tears and the CV grease coats the bottom of the car.

You have new tires. I suggest first rotating the wheels, back to front, and rule out a bad tire. Tread separation will cause the same issue.

If the tires/wheels are not the problem, an axle replacement 'might' fix it. But: which one? Left/right? And getting a junk yard version that has not moved in years and is not known if it was submerged in water, etc. is a crap shoot. Besides, you will still need a new axle bolt.
