Buying advice wanted

Saw the '95 Turbo wagon today. The one with stopped odometer. I did the A7 trick and read 156,xxx (didn't bother with the last three digits). The car was in very rough shape. The guy is asking $2,600, so I expected to see a car in almost perfect shape. Instead I saw a very used, dinged, scratched car with lots of issues. Some of which are completely torn up driver's seat (leather) to the point where foam is visible and some of it is missing and I could see the heating element, deep cracks on the other front seat and middle console. Driver's door was from a different car of same color and the lock did not match the ignition key. The key for the door is missing. Rear hatch does not stay up and needs to be propped up with stick. Rear bumper is torn on the driver's side where it wraps around to the wheel well. glove box is missing a latch and is held up with bungy cord. Where the passenger air bag is the plastic is all warped and you can see inside under the cover. Lots of other little and not so little cosmetic things that make the car look horrible. It drove well enough, but with so many things to take care of before I could even take possession of it and the high price... I just politely test-drove it, thanked the guy and said good buy. Onto the next prospect.
