Noise when making a right turn. 850 1995

I'm hearing a noise, like a chirp but a continuous shrill noise (almost like a cricket) only when I make a right turn. I checked the power steering fluid and it was a little low. I added some, and it seems to have helped, but the noise is still there. I can't duplicate it at idle (just by turning the wheel right). It doesn't make the sound at all on left turns. It also seems to be temperature sensitive. Now that the weather's warming up it seems to do it more often. Any ideas? How high should the PS fluid level be? Mine is still just below the knob on the end of the cap. I don't have any obvious leaks that I can see. The car has 93k on it. The belt looks okay, but I don't see anywhere in the service history where it's been changed, (I'm the 2nd owner) so that may be a problem as well. How common are PS pump failures on these cars? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance-

Scott
