oil consumption 850 94

My 850 has 56000 miles, never used oil till about 49000 then at the rate of a quart/750 miles. Had valve seals and guides replaced at 55600 miles. All was well for the first 1000 miles. Now I am using oil again. About half quart for the last 300 miles. Have any suggestions??? Had work done by a Volvo dealer and have another appointment for Monday. What a frustration.
