Keys XC90 2005

The 90 I just bought has only one key, the switchbade style. I wonder what people do with keys? I need to get a new one, the problem is the stealership wants $400 for one programmed. I know that they order in the cut key and only program it there. Is there a place that anybody here knows about where can order a key myself. They told me that the key code is known from the VIN. If they can order one from the VIN I should be able to as well right? And then I should be able to just let the stealership program it. This kind of thing is why people hate those places. They think they have you so they completely take advantage of you with outrageous prices. Just like their service prices.
