Troubleshooting Suspension Noise S40-V40 2000

Hello everybody,

There seem to be some very knowledgeable people around here, so I thought I would ask about a problem my 2000 V40 is having before going to the dealer. After a cold start in the morning, I hear a metallic "crunching" or springing noise coming from the front right wheel area when I accelerate from a stop. This only happens under moderate or hard acceleration, and not if I only accelerate very gently. This noise goes away after 15 or 20 minutes of driving, and I don't hear it if it is very hot out (90 F or above). Any ideas about what I should ask the dealer to check out? Thanks!
