Difference between -70 & -90 & other questions

I want to add to KlausC's response.

For 1998 there were two cars with -90 suffixes that weren't SUVs. They were the tail end of the 700 series.

700s were introduced in the 80's reworked in the early 90's and renamed the 900s, and then given a facelift for 1998 and renamed again. The sedan is called S90 and the wagon is called V90.

They are basically the same as the 960 from the 900 series with RWD and (I believe) the inline 6 that was given to the S80.

They're pretty interesting cars. I've never been up close and personal with one.

They should be super solid, given their evolution.

Happy hunting!
