Borderline overheating C70 2000

Bad ECT sensor? You need to get one of those infared heat guns and check the temp of the thermostat housing. When the ECT sensor gets too hot, that signals the ECU to turn on the engine fan to cool things down, not get hotter?????

Your gauge may also be a little suspect. It has a compensation board so the needle doesn't move much.

You can check the Ohms on the ECT sensor. Just make sure the key is off when you unplug the sensor :>)

Readings should look like this:

68F - 2800 ohms
104F - 1200 ohms
212F - 150 ohms
