They are not all as troublesome as what you read here but then again, they are not as troublefree as say, a Honda or Toyota. These forums exist for technical questions- people seeking advice when something breaks. There is no advice needed when your car is running fine. Don't be afraid to buy one. Just make sure it is thoroughly checked out by someone who's knowledgeable about Volvos.
