Re: Fuel System Codes 1-1-3 and 2-2-1 850 1993

1-1-3,long term fuel trim, upper limit, too lean. 2-2-1, long term fuel trim, part load, upper limit, too lean. Almost always a vacuum leak. I'm not sure if the 93 has it but on some engines there is a large plug on the front end of the intake manifold, with a nipple and hose conected. It sits just behind the P/S pump. This hose is plastic with a rubber 90 degree rubber nipple attached to the end. The rubber nipple could ba broken. If this is not the case, look around carefully at all hoses. Spraying carb cleaner at various locations with engine running, when the cleaner hits the leak area, the idle speed will change slightly. Possible intake gasket leak. Hope this helps.
