Yes, it's sad, isn't it? V70-XC70 1998

My car is 1998 V70T5M with 60K miles.....

1. My CD player is fine.

My mechanic also has a '98 V70. His kid killed the CD by putting parkway tokens in the CD slot.

Amazingly, Volvo covered it under the warranty!

2. My rear passenger-door's frame seal also came loose. There is a supporting wire under the rubber.

Mine was replaced under warranty.

(If it wasn' t a warranty item, I would have glued it up with trim adhesive!)

"What I find in this V70 car (compared with my ex-1991 Volvo 240) is the poor quality and workmanship ever since Ford Motors took over Volvo."

Oh?

*******FORD DIDN'T BUY VOLVO UNTIL 1999!!!!!!*********

My car was built in September, 1997. Blaming Ford for Volvo's quality problems is like blaming George Bush for the condition of the rugs in the Oval Office.

At least the 850-70s won't rust like the 240s!

BMW???

Wait 'till General Motors buys 'em!
