Engine hesitates at startup - P0300 & P0301 codes S70

Interesting how I try to take good care of my cars and the more problems seem to popup. Had the 90k/95 service done on my 1998 GLT last Dec. 2011. In January 2012, engine would die after running for a minute or two -- fuel pump replaced. Noticed rough start and whine (or hissing) noise -- replaced fuel pump a 2nd time. In February 2012, noticed I needed to top of engine oil and then top it off again in March 2012 -- about 1.2 lit total. No oil spots on garage floor. Today I found oil in the engine bay (please see separate thread 'Found Oil in Engine Bay).

This morning the car started to run rough for about a minute and things were fine again. This happened twice last month but the car seemed fine after that. When I started the car this afternoon it started to shake/shudder again like the engine would die -- and then I got a CEL -- two codes: P0300 and P0301. I am not that mechanically inclined so kindly explain what could possible be wrong.
