ANSWER Heat S80

If you go to the dealer and give him $200 (read the fine print in your contract and make sure you are covered first), the dealer will first read any error codes associated with the climate control. Repairs will not be made as the dealer will only replace broken items, all at considerable cost.

A repair shop will look at the climate control and throw their collective hands up and still charge you at least 1 hour. They won't have a scan tool to diagnose the problem.

You can look at the coolant level in the engine overflow bottle and hope that it is at the full mark with the engine cold. A very low level will indicate a leak somewhere and a potential pending disaster.
