I can't really recall. I don't think it fully covered the head, but came up to around shoulder level. Initial damage estimate on the car was $14K. The adjuster won't salvage unless the damage exceeded 70% of value of the car. Looks like I will be driving a FORD Taurus until the end of March. I will keep you advised on how the repair progresses.

I bought the C70 because it was the modern day equivilent of my old BMW 6 series, a classy, sporty touring car. I did not think too much about the saftey features - now I would be hard pressed to buy anything other than another Volvo.
