Interior lights when door open question V70-XC70 1998

My driver side door strap/stop is broken within the door (not the frame hinge).
Does this door strap control the interior lights with a contact switch when door closes or opens? Would this affect the all lock door switch or remote alarm?
....my lights do not go on when the driver does is open, but sometimes if I move the strap? Passenger side works fine, since strap is not broken.

My key remote caused the the switchs to click but door pulls do not go up or down (sometimes goes down), interior dock lock only works for lock down. The rear hatch gets a good lock and unlock everytime.

I can hear the alarm/central locking box relays working.

This is the last icing on the cake for the great V70
