SC-816 cassette autoreverse stuck

I have an SC-816 radio and the cassette player is refusing to play cassettes. When a cassette or the cassette adapter I use for my iPod is inserted, the casette player reverses several times and then kicks out the cassette. Is there an easy way to fix that?

I remember on the CD player there was some sort of microswitch on SC-816's that gets stuck and I'm wondering if there's something like that on the cassette player?
