Coolant loss V70-XC70 1999

Hello.
Have a small, but persistent coolant loss in the last month or so. Have put about 1000 miles on the car since replacing the radiator, upper and lower hoses, thermostat a couple of months ago. I also replaced the A/C compressor, condenser and drier at the same time. After filling up with new coolant, the expansion bottle/canister dropped a little, which I figured was air getting out of the system, but during the last 500-600 miles I've had to fill up with appx 1/2 gal of 50/50 glycol water...
I have no visible leaks anywhere, no glycol smell inside the car (heater core was replaced a couple of years ago), no smoke or glycol in the oil..
Head gasket? It's not throwing off any codes (yet) gas mileage hasn't changed.
Any ideas?
Rolf
