FYI on the engine bay computer box S60 2007

Stopped for the usual gas fill up / check oil....

Popped the hood while filling up, filled up and went to check the oil after about 5 mins. Noticed quite the sound coming from the ECU-TCM box area and said thats odd. Popped the cover and lone and behold there was a little fan running. I am well aware of the air tube that runs from the interior climate control area to the ECU box....but recall it was a passive only setup in my former S and XC70....in the S60 its the same with the addition of an additional fan....presumably to keep the air flow going after the car is off and climate control off. It was dang hot inside, as on the way home I was using the 480 AC.....4 windows down, 80 MPH no actual AC... since my work insists on keeping the workcenter 60 degrees I decided I needed a thaw for the first leg of the ride home.

Point is...keep up on that cabin filter, it obviously impacts more than you think....clogged filter, lower air throughput, toasted ECU?

Wanted to share some FYI style info
