'06 XC70 with some miles a good bet? V70-XC70

Would anybody care to talk me out of buying an XC70 in the '04 to '07 range with ~100k miles on the odometer? I can't get over how nice these things are to drive, and I really need something with more seats-down cargo volume than my current Prius offers. From the drivers seat this seems like the best thing in my [modest] price range. At the same time, I'm a little wary of what might come up in terms of repairs over the subsequent 5+ years over which I like to keep a vehicle. Something major wouldn't ruin me financially, but it would seriously annoy me! I'm a reasonably competent shadetree mechanic so I can handle most things that don't absolutely require a lift or software beyond my AutoEnginuity scan tool. I mainly don't want to find myself standing next to it by the side of the road.

Any thoughts? Should I be thinking about this if reliability is a high priority?
