That Whole Radio Code Thing 850

Didn't work--again. I said position 2, but it was really one.
There's a position zero, where you put your keys into the ignition, then there's 1, where if you want you can roll up windows, etc. That's where I had it. I did it for two hours, then turned on the radio. It still said OFF. Can't enter the code.
Yes, the radio has the blinking red light when I have the keys in the zero position.
I'm giving it another 2 hours before bed. I guess this time I'll start the engine before trying the radio...
