S70 AC 5 years post-shimming, AC relay

I shimmed my AC clutch about 5 years ago with the bread bag shims and all has been perfect with the AC system although at times, it seemed to be a lot colder than called for by the ECC settings selected. However, recently, symptoms of the worn clutch emerged again and even a little touch up reshimming with some small finish nails did not cure it. On a hunch, I swapped the tiny AC clutch relay with a spare and, voila, AC system again good as new. Relay 9162300 did the trick, the air no longer occasionally shuts down on hot days, nor does it seem to over cool anymore. I mention this all because I have rarely seen mention of a faulty AC relay in looking through old posts for clues.
