'04 daytime running light plug melting... V70-XC70

"04 XC70 ( Xenon lights, Halogen daytime running lights) My right daytime running light plug that connects to the bulb has melted away! Anyone else had this problem? I just called the volvo dealer and they said they have a $35 adapter that should fix it. I looked at the other side, and its starting to discolor also.... I tried to put another connector on it, but it only works for a few hours then it melts also, i don't want to start a fire, so I thought I would see what anyone else did.
