AutoDim Rearview Mirror, Questions? C70 1999

I have a '99 C70CV with the AutoDim Rearview mirror. However, the light sensor is located on the lower edge of the mirror and (with the top up) the rear window panel is quite high, 90% of all headlights from behind don't shine low enough to activate the dim sensor, but do shine high enough to blind me... has anyone had this problem and if so do you have any suggestions on how to correct it? Does Volvo make a new AutoDim mirror with the light sensor on the Top edge?

Thanks in advance,

-Christopher McCleary
