ANSWER Oil dip stick V70-XC70 2009

One quart over is too high. You are on level ground?? Get a catch pan, loosen the drain to finger tight, put on a rubber glove, and carefully, carefully, drain some oil. Don't worry about the crush washer. Check the oil level and then torque the drain to 25lbs. Clean up the mess.

If you had a MightyVac, you could insert a hose down the filler pipe and suction a quart of oil out without any mess.

When you think all is OK, run the engine to warm. Turn it off and check the oil again after 2 minutes of cool down.
