oil leak V70-XC70

I have a 1999 V70 with about 183K miles. recently i noticed that whenever I drive the car ont the highway for 3-4 hours , on a trip, The back windshield gets coated with droplets of oil and I loose about 1 qt of oil. I checked the exhaust pipe and it just has dry soot. I noticed that there is oil seeping from a "plug" on the drivers side of the head , as per the pic.

The picture should actually be rotated to the left too see the correct view. The oil is located at the bottom of the seal.
