2000 V70XC AWD maintenance and bevel gear oil flush V70-XC70

i have been searching this forum and others for a straight answers on the bevel gear and any AWD maintenance. can anybody help clear this up?

i have read about bad/seized bevel gear and/or viscous couplings, differentials, etc... removed drive-shafts and how the V70-AWD becomes FWD only? i'm getting confused...

i have an older 850 wagon and i'm familiar with the ol' tranny flush from the cooler hoses. i want to know if there is fluid/oil i can replace in the AWD parts to help extend the life of the car or any other straight advice. thanks a bunch!
