Fuel Filler Door Lock Actuator - AGAIN... 850 1997

Well, I was soooo proud of myself. Unstuck the fuel door lock actuator. Yeah, then it stuck. Again.

I believe I contributed to my problem. First go round I used White Lithium grease to lube the plunger and I think that was too heavy a lubricant. I disassembled the entire motor, cleaned the inner gears, screw, and plunger assembly. I relubed everything with WD40 lightly, wiped off the excess and reassembled everything. As last time, it works right now each time I try it. I also verified a have nice power to the unit during lock/unlock, and that the male/female connection is pressed tightly together. It is, since it locks in place.

MY QUESTION:

If I decide to replace, vice remove, the unit if I have further problems did Volvo redesign the part, or will I get the exact same unit that sticks?

Thanks

Barry
