Rough Start - Rough Idle 850 1997

Hi,

I have a 1997 850 T5. It's been a well maintained car. It just now has 165,000 miles on it. A few weeks ago, I drove out of town, about 85 miles and when I got to my destination and parked the car, I noticed it was idling rough. Kinda a thumpy slight shaky feel, and didn't sound right. When I got to start the car, it seems to turn over a couple of times, makes a slight mis fire sound and then starts and runs, but has rough idle. The car runs fine at normal speeds, seems to have plenty of power and passing power. But, it also seems to go through fuel faster, and you can also smell a slight raw fuel smell in the exhaust I believe.

Oh, and the check engine light is on. I had the code checked by a parts store and it came back as Ingition Coil, or cable, etc... I replaced the engine coil but that didn't help. I had the code checked again by another parts store, and it said that cylinder 4 is mis firing. I changed all the spark plugs, but that didn't help. Next I was going to replace the spark plug wires/ignition coil cable.

Thoughts?
