squeaky dash 850 1994

Now that the weather is getting a little warmer here in Colorado, the

dash on my car is starting to squeak a lot more. I took it to an

independent Volvo mechanic last August but he made it worse. Is this an

expensive job? I don't want to take the dash apart myself. I talked to

a service adviser at a dealer a few months ago--he said something about

taking the dash top off and spraying some type of paint on the plastic

surfaces--sounds weird to me. Would appreciate suggestions, comments.
