Floor bed length wagon? 850

I am wondering because supposedly my Jetta wagon has just about the same Cu/ft cargo space as an 850, which I find hard to believe. My Jetta, (2010) really doesn't hold a hell of alot and the 850 looks so much bigger. I am thinking part of the problem is the opening, the 850 is a big wide opening and the Jetta is "styled" and very hard to get anything large into it. Also the 850 looks to have a lot more floor space...and a lot more space in total. For my needs the opening and the floor space is important, but so is the ceiling heigth as in my Jetta currently my dog can't stand up all the way, (might not be able to in the 850 either, bu tI'm thinkin git would be better.
