Hang on to your hats 850

LOL! After giving my 1967 220 to a Brickboard member, the garage had a hole and I was bored. I was on the lookout for either a cheap C70 with a good top or a 2004 C70 in very good shape. Daily Craigslist surfing didn't help, there was a 2001 C70 for cheap, but it had the 5 speed auto and poor maintenance and a leaky top.

So I found a neglected white 854, female owned and with a newer clutch. How could I pass that up? My wife thought it was a good idea, cheaper than dirt, and would give me something to do.

It follows me home today. I will sit in the holy seats and ponder the immediate improvements and where to start. The 'local' pick&pull doesn't have much of a selection, so I may have to wait for cheap parts.

If the temperature gets over 40F, I might even wash the poor thing.
