Shotgun Wedding. S70 1998

Planning to go diagnose the relay in a few. Found a good guide on relay repair over at Matthews Volvo Site and some discussions on other forums about the 8/70 relays being prone to failure.

So, best case I just looking at a bad relay, maybe a clogged up filter.
Worst case -a dead fuel pump.

I'm trying to avoid shotgunning problems, but I went ahead and snagged up a Bosch fuel pump from eEuroparts. I would have waited until more diagnosis could be completed, but there was only one pump left and it was at 50% discount. It'll be a good part to have on hand if/when the pump does finally give up the ghost.

Will report back when I know what's what.

Thanks

----EDIT----

I tested the relay. It clicks nicely with the ignition. I jumpered 15 to 87 and cranked it for a while. still nothing. Fuel rail is still dry. I do not get a "hiss" when I open the gas tank.

Pretty sure the pump is the problem. I'll pull it and bench-test it to be 100%
