Test Results - DEAD pump S70 1998

I extracted the pump. It was kinda-sorta easier than on a 940, but essentially the same operation. ...Except that I got to fold myself into a trunk...

Pulled the whole unit, dried it off. applied some 12v to the leads and *nothing*.

Disassembled the assembly, extracted the pump and applied 12v directly to the unit.

It's dead. really dead. not even a little whine or jerk, or anything. I think it must be "pinning for the fjords"

So... as you say. Good thing I ordered the pump :)

Should have it tomorrow. Only worry is that I can't see a float assembly. seems to be some sort of spring wire on the pump assembly that seemed to contact a brass ring on the bottoms of the pump surround. it popped off when I removed the pump so I'm a bit unsure if I busted my fuel gauge sender in the process...
