Sender.. S70 1998

Humm... I didn't see anything like that when I pulled out the assembly - nor anyplace such a sender assembly could have been mounted - either to the tank or to the pump housing.

The pump assembly has just a single pair of wires (red and black). I get the sense that Uncle Olaf tried something different on this model. Aside from the weird bit of wire, I've got no indication that there is any sort of fuel level sensor inside the pump assembly.

I don't trust FCP fitment guides at all. I've been burned far too many times by their catalog and their service.

Tasca lists that part number as belonging to the 2003-2004 models. The rough assembly drawing at Tasca shows a housing very similar to the one in my car.

I'll hope for the best when the new pump comes. I'll worry about the gauge after I get the fuel flowing to the engine again.
